On the eve of Agriculture and Processing Industry Workers' Day, the Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin presented the state awards to employees of the agricultural sector. The award ceremony was held in the framework of the exhibition "Golden Autumn", which this year takes place in an online format. The event was also attended by Dmitry Patrushev, the Minister of Agriculture , and Viktor Abramchenko, the Deputy Prime Minister.
Congratulating everyone involved in the industry on the upcoming holiday, the head of the Cabinet noted that in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, the workers in the agricultural sector have managed to ensure food security of the country. “We have successfully overcome the high demand for the food products, which occurred during the acute phase of the coronavirus pandemic," - he said.
Now the government is working on further strengthening the food independence, developing the import substitution. A lot, according to Mikhail Mishustin, is being done for technological upgrading of the agroicultural sector, localization of production of the necessary equipment, development of new equipment.
Most of the issues raised in the speech of the Prime Minister, will be substantively discussed by the industry leaders and specialists of agricultural companies in the framework of the business program of the Exhibition "Agroferma-2021." These are the most important economic topics: Increase of the agricultural business profitability, increase of export potential of agricultural sector, expansion of the sale markets.
