“Agroferma-2021": the Russian agriculture demonstrates the steady growth

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, thanks to initiation and implementation of a set of state support measures in the first six months of 2020 the Russian agriculture demonstrated the steady positive dynamics of development. Particular growth was recorded in the dairy and beef cattle, as well as in production of the agricultural equipment.

As of 1 July 2020, production of livestock and poultry for live slaughter in all categories of households increased by 4% as compared to the same period in 2019. The highest growth takes place in the pig farming thanks to intensive development of investment projects in this sector and improvement of export opportunities for Russian suppliers. A significant contribution to the overall dynamics is made by individual farmers, who have achieved maximum growth among all categories of farms in poultry production (+ 3,1%) and cattle production (+ 4,7%).

Milk production reached 15791,4 thousand tons, which is 3,6% more than in the first six months of 2019. It should be noted that the highest growth rate (+ 4.9%) was also demonstrated by the individual farmers.

The issues of agricultural production efficiency improvement will be comprehensively discussed at the Exhibition of Economic Achievements in the framework of exhibition "Agroferma-2021", where, and that is especially valuable, the best practices and cases will be presented by the leading individual farmers of Russia.

It is worth separately emphasizing the growth in production of the agricultural equipment. For 6 months the Russian factories have produced the products for 72 billion rubles., which exceeds by 20% the indicators of the same period last year. Along with that, during the specified period the equipment shipments for the national market increased by 39% (to 60 bln. rbl.), which allows to expect a further increase in the yield and productivity of our agricultural production.
