Famous Vladimir Heavy Drafts will be presented at the AGROFARM Exhibition for the first time. Laska and Gasolin – a beautiful span from the V.I. Fomin State Stud Farm of the Vladimir Region – will act as debutants of the demonstration show ring of the Exhibition.
The Vladimir breed is recent, though well-known. It appeared as a result of interbreeding random local mares with English Shire and Clydesdale stock; its particular characteristics were defined in 1949: a white marking on theforehead, white ‘socks’ and a thick mane. Nowadays Vladimir Heavy Draft is a large beautiful horse with excellent outward appearances and remarkable colors of all kinds.
A special feature of Vladimir ‘mighty heroes’ custodians of the unique breed are so proud of is an ability to deliver cargos not at a walking pace only, but at а trot as well.
A typical representative of the Vladimir breed is Gasolin – a smart, promising and friendly black stallion that belongs to the elite class. An eight-year-old native of the Ivanovo Region, Gasolin is a winner of the Russian Vladimir Heavy Draft Championship, a prize winner of international and national horse exhibitions and contests.
He will be joined by Laska – a young bay mare of the elite class; a large, smart and heavy-boned representative of the Vladimir breed. Laska is capricious and obstinate; there are only some people she lets approach her, though she is affable in a herd. She has almost no experience of public appearances: she is currently trained to take part in the Hipposphere International Equestrian Exhibition which is to be held in Saint Petersburg in May, 2020.
We are looking forward to meeting you at the AGROFARM-2020 exhibition at VDNH, Pavilion 75!
