Prospects of AGROFARM at VDNH Discussed at the Exhibition Council

On December 20, 2019, a meeting of the Exhibition Council of the 14th AGROFARM 2020 International Exhibition of Animal Husbandry and Animal Breeding took place at VDNH, Pavilion 75. The event was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, national industry associations, partner organizations such as the Russian State Agrarian University – Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy, Moscow School of Management Skolkovo, Russian Agricultural Bank and others.

Experts pointed that the AGROFARM Exhibition is of great significance for the Russian agriculture in general and the livestock industry in particular; the event keeps generating interest among the entire industrial community. They also stressed the importance of holding it at the grounds of VDNH – a traditional, historical site.

“The AGROFARM Exhibition is a necessary component of national animal production development on the whole, as otherwise we would not have an opportunity to promote innovations,” said Kharon Amerkhanov, Co-Chairman of the Exhibition Council, Professor of the Department of Dairy and Meat Cattle of Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy. “What is more, this event should be held solely at the VDNH site, as it is a traditional place that has already gained importance for the development of the entire agro-industrial complex of Russia.”

Participants of the meeting expressed their ideas and proposals for the AGROFARM Exhibition development.

“There are many creative ideas that we expect to implement in 2020, and there are also long-term plans for innovative development in place,” as the discussion was summed up by Andrey Danilenko, Chairman of the Exhibition Council, Chairman of the Committee on Agro-Industrial policy of Delovaya Rossiya (Business Russia) a public defender of the rights of entrepreneurs in the field of trade regulation, member of the Board of Directors of DAMATE Agro-Industrial Complex LLC.
