Compared to the EU countries, Russia has more favorable conditions, allowing not only to support beekeeping at the current level, but also to double the number of bee families, as well as the production of honey.
At the moment, however, there is a number of unresolved issues that beekeepers, farm and apiary owners face daily. In the current status beekeeping has been practically left without veterinary attendance, which has aggravated the problem of bee deaths. The situation with poisoning of bee families on large batches of melliferous plants has deteriorated. Beekeeping development is also hindered with a lack of skilled personnel, challenges of selling products received by beekeepers, and many other things.
What other challenges do specialists of the industry face? What are special features of the modern beekeeping development strategy? What are the methods of problem solving at the current stage? These and other issues will be discussed at the conference by beekeepers, farmers, heads of agricultural enterprises and veterinarians.
The conference will be moderated by Irina Brandorf, Doctor of Agricultural Science, Head of Beekeeping Laboratory of the FSBSI Federal Agricultural Research Center of the North-East named N.V.Rudnitsky. In the first part of the conference dedicated to problems of beekeeping in Russia and abroad speeches will be delivered by Amir Ishemgulov, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, CEO of the Bashkir Scientific Research Center for Beekeeping and Apitherapy; Ramil Enikeyev, Head of the PTNGO Beekeepers Union of the Primorsky Territory, and Alfir Mannapov, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Aquaculture and Beekeeping in the Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy.
