Founded in 1947 by Albert Fournier Sr., Maison Fournier has developed and manufactured equipment for pig breeding. Quality, durability, innovations and respect to animals are four pillars the Fournier brand has been based on for almost 70 years already. Stephane Lucas, Director of the Russian representative office, spoke on what helped the company not to lose its leadership and what would be brought to the AGROFARM Exhibition.
“Your company has been one of leaders in supplying modern equipment and equipping agricultural enterprises for more than 70 years. What does its range comprise today? What is most in demand?”
“I’m proud to say that today Fournier sets a benchmark in field of pig breeding! Founded in 1947 by Albert Fournier Sr., Maison Fournier develops and manufactures the most diverse and functional equipment for pig breeding. Fournier is keeping pace with changing needs of breeders to provide our clients a wide range of equipment for their farms, from slotted concrete and plastic floors to animal feeding systems, including troughs, drinking-bowls and feed cribs. We also offer all kinds of goods from PVC, polypropylene and concrete. Our most sought-after products are feed cribs and drinking-bowls for pig farms.”
“What is your clientele in Russia – large agricultural holdings or private farmers? Who do you work most often?”
“We’ve signed non-disclosure agreements with our clients, so we can’t tell their names. However, I can say that many clients of ours rank among top ten best pig breeders in Russia. We also work with smaller enterprises. Besides, we would like to develop our sales to the smallest farms as well. The problem is that people in the smallest organizations do not always speak English. That’s why we hired Kristina Plotnikova, a native of Russia who speaks Russian perfectly. She is responsible for sales in the Russian market, and she will also represent our products at the Exhibition.”
“What does it take to become your client, to start working with you?”
“To become our client you should like the quality, not the quantity. Don’t be afraid of investing in our products that might seem a little bit more expensive than other ones in the market. It’s worth investing a bit more to get things that will serve you for many years. Our products are durable and of a great quality, they are 100% made in France. Fournier products influence on conversion of feed stuff during pig feeding and allows saving a lot of efforts due to its functional use. Besides, our equipment is extremely simple to use, so any employer can easily master it.
We will present feed cribs and a set of drinking-bowls at the AGROFARM Exhibition hosted by VDNH. We would like to draw attention of potential partners to these products, and we are waiting for everyone at our stand!”
