agrofarm@vdnh.ruArtur Antonyan, First Deputy CEO of JSC VDNH, spoke at the AGROFARM 2020 Exhibition Council attended by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, national industry associations, the Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy, the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO and Rosselkhozbank.
‘First of all, I’d like to emphasize that VDNH is a traditional place for holding agricultural exhibitions in Russia, and it’s rightfully the object of attention of all the professional industrial community in our country. For historical reasons, VDNH has become the most important national venue, where unique demonstrations of agricultural achievements have always taken place with active state support. It’s here where the largest exhibitions of great importance for the entire Russian AIC take place: The Golden Autumn; MVC: Cereals – Mixed Feed – Veterinary; Cooperation.
AGROFARM occupies a prominent position among them, being one of the most important exhibitions for Russian agriculture. Our major goal is to show the industrial community that the AGROFARM Project will develop. We are ready to create better conditions for participants of our industry’s agricultural forum to work efficiently. For that purpose it’s required to know and consider problems the industry faces today, expectations of our potential participants, as well as to outline long-term goals and objectives. I’m glad that in the course of discussion the Exhibition Council came to the uniform understanding of those tasks.
Today we talk speak about the exhibition project of a new format: while keeping the concept of the exhibition, we complement it with a new topic. We get active assistance of the Ministry of Agriculture and the city in this matter. An extensive Business Program will take place in the framework of the Exhibition 2020. The key topics of discussion will include: the prospects for development of the Russian countryside and transformation of livestock support mechanisms. In the course of Business Program advanced technologies in the field of animal breeding and successful cases of participants of the Exhibition will be presented, and the Competitive Program will take place to mark the best developments in the field of animal breeding. For the first time ever, business missions for farmers from different regions of the country will be arranged at AGROFARM, so that they could get applicative knowledge to develop their businesses. Official delegations from various regions of the Russian Federation and other countries are expected.
We do not only expand and complement the content of AGROFARM’s exposition, but also negotiate with organizers of exhibitions dedicated to related topics that can be interesting for our regular participants and visitors: it would be convenient to hold two mutually reinforcing exhibitions on the same venue at the same time. Also, we reflect on the update of the AGROFARM’s format: in the immediate future we intend to make this venue interesting not for large agricultural holdings only, but for small farms and just consumers of agricultural goods as well. We are willing to create better working conditions for specialists of the industry: in the future it will be enabled by a state-of-the-art congress and exhibition complex which is currently being built at the territory of VDNH.
Still, to keep the AGROFARM Exhibition and let our participants know that VDNH has always been and will always be a welcoming home for them is the most important thing for us this year.
